“But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your

There are at least two kinds of enemies. First, there are those who become our enemies as a result of our actions. Second, there are those who are enemies without cause. Whatever the case, we must have the right attitude toward them or it will interfere with our relationship with the Lord. The most likely response to our enemies is usually the wrong response. We must always yield to the scriptures and be willing to do whatever God expects of us. If we wish evil upon our enemies, we are bound by iniquity and will be judged accordingly.

Pro 24:17-18,  “Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from Him.” God’s wrath against your enemies is often intended to bring him/her to that place that He would like for them to be in Him. God is merciful.

God is a very present help when your enemies are in array against you. There is hope for those who seek it.

Bless and curse not, turn the cheek, pray for your enemies, and do good to them who persecute you; these all seem to be timid actions when we are under attack by our enemies but this is what God expects of us. We must do all to the glory of God.
