Our God is the almighty and indeed there is none like Him, He is the Alpha and Omega. He is an awesome God and He takes care of us. We can seek to find other sources of joy and strength in this world, but we will fail to be fulfilled by those worldly sources. God is our all-sufficient Father and He is all we need. His goal is to get us to where He is all we want.
Jeremiah in Jeremiah 10:6 denounces worship of false gods and he exalts the worship and re- spect for the true and the living God. Everybody worships something, everyone picks who their gods will be. Who or what is your God? How do respond to God’s truthfulness?
There is none like our God in holiness, there is none like Him in greatness and none can com- pare to His unfailing mercy. David confirms this in Psalm 86:8 “there is no one like you among the gods, O Lord, and nothing to compare with our works.” David was confident of God’s answer to his prayers.
How would you describe your own God and how would you respond to God’s faithfulness, truthfulness, greatness and mercy in your life? Do you have the Holy God as your God? Do you have the testimony of salvation?
God is greater than the greatest and there is none beside Him. He is the sovereign and the almighty God who reigns in heaven and earth. He created all things and there is nothing that is hidden from Him.
