“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Too many times we focus on the problem, the weakness, the struggle, instead of appreciating the gift of grace. Unless we are very rare exceptions, we are all handicapped in some way it is ei ther we are deaf or hard of hearing, or we need eyeglasses, or crippled, or we have some form of bodily illness or ailment yet in all these we are still capable of greatness.

Countless numbers of individuals are mentally handicapped in one form or another still others are handicapped by their circumstances, unfortunately too many people let their handicaps chain them to inertia or despair. They become incapable of reaching for the best that life has to offer, however, others turn their handicaps into blessings.

When the “Storms of life” come upon us, Jesus, our Lord, can bring us peace and serenity. Faith in Him assures us that somehow, somewhere, everything will work out to our good. He may not take away our pain; however, he gives us the power to endure the pain.

At some point in our lives, we will have some personal problems. When trouble comes, many of us have a tendency to feel that we have been unfairly singled out that our misfortune is differ ent from that of any other person’s and in a sense that is true. Our troubles are different because we are different and although many others have experienced similar problems, still, it is a new problem to us. Why not ask for His grace and place yourself in His capable hands?

If we are not careful, we can find ourselves because of self-pity surrendering to our problems and becoming defeated and useless. We can reach the point where we would rather keep our problems than do something about them. Instead of concentrating on our blessings, we fill our minds with our woes.

We need to realize that there is power available to help us and this power is the ‘Grace’ of God. The grace of God that brings salvation, it says has appeared to all men. It’s available for everybody not everybody will accept it but that doesn’t change the fact that it is available to everybody. “If God be for us who can be against us”, His grace is more than sufficient to carry us through any difficulties in life.

Do you want that grace? Accept Jesus into your life today and He will supply you with His grace every step of your life.
