“Even to your old age, I am He and even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and deliver.”

Growing old is perhaps the hardest task we have to face in this life. As the saying goes; “getting old is not for sissies.” Mainly, growing old is about losses, we devote most of our early life to acquiring things but they are merely things we may lose as we age.
We may lose our strength, looks, wealth, home, friends, job, health, spouse even our independence, and greatest of all, our integrity and self-worth.
But there is something that we will never lose; we will never lose the love of God. He has promised that even to our old age He is still the same and bear us even to our gray hairs. Is this not wonderful and something to be gracious for? The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 92:12 “the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree.” A palm tree can grow up to a thousand year and still look the same; glowing and producing its substance. This is His promise to us and He will never forsake us.
Remember, God’s love never grows old. His mercy and compassion are new everyday.
