Children’s Ministry

Here at RCCG Dayspring we believe that it is important to start out in life with a good foundation. We lay that foundation which is the word of God into children’s lives through lively Sunday school sessions taking place each week. In these sessions we seek to teach the children biblical principals through story telling and song amongst other various activities.

Youth Ministry

We youth of the church believe that God uses not only older people but people who are young as well, in fact many great people in the bible were hand-picked by God when they were young. People such as Samuel, a prophet of prophets, King David, a man after God’s heart and others started serving the Lord in their youth and reaped bountifully and so God can do the same for us.

We usually meet every Sunday to discuss biblical issues and matters in society that currently affect our lives. We find that many current day dilemmas and problems can be related back to the bible and the answers to future problems have been written since 2000 years ago.

Every year, the youth hold a special programme on the last weekend of August, which consists of ministrations and other activities whereby we try to invite as many people from outside our community to come and enjoy the goodness of God, where we have performances, activities, socialising and food all for free. We also take this opportunity to reach out to those who know of God but don’t have a personal relationship with him.

God bless.

Women’s Ministry

Our women’s ministry acts as a support system there to encourage women in their various roles as mothers, wives, daughters and working in ministry.
The support and encouragement we provide, comes in the form of teachings, sermons and bible studies in a friendly welcoming environment where women are free to express themselves and discuss issues relative to them.

The women’s ministry also organizes social events where all women can come together to fellowship with one another.

The Choir

Our choir is formed of individuals who are passionate about music, singing and most of all worshipping God. We have rehearsals where we sing praise joyfully, worship and learn new choir songs in preparation to minister to congregations.

Music is an important part of worship but not the only way to worship God. We make worshipping God a lifestyle by doing so in various ways in our everyday lives.

Welfare Development

The Welfare department is concerned with the wellbeing of church members and people within community.

Members of this department seek to provide help and support by visiting people in hospitals and prisons and gathering funds to provide for the needs of struggling families and individuals.

Support can come in the form of food, clothes or even an encouraging word or prayer to help someone going through a difficult time.

This ministry requires people to be selfless, compassionate and willing.

Intercessory

Intercession is the action of saying a prayer on behalf of another. Everybody has the capacity to intercede on the behalf of others and intercessors group is for everyone who is dedicated to the cause of acting on behalf of others.

Much like the welfare department, Intercessors lay aside their own worries and cares and use the power of prayer to act, raising issues that affect people worldwide and within their immediate reach.

There are deeper things that we cannot see and we do not hear about, so intercessors open their hearts and minds to receive instruction from the Holy spirit.
