3rd February 2021 – God Is Faithful

The song goes “He is faithful; abundantly faithful; to deliver and to save……those who trust in Him.

The list of challenges can be endless and maintaining a steadfast and intimate relationship with God in the face of these challenges becomes a struggle, attending fellowships become more of a duty than a joy, temptations become very difficult to resist and you think and argue that a little compromise does not do any harm after all God will understand. This is the time to hold on without wavering because the enemy like a roaring lion is going about seeking who to devour. Be sure that He who has promised is able to fulfill it.

God will not change; He is not a man that He should lie, He is faithful to His name, Revelation 19:11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” He is faithful in His promises, Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations”.

When we are not faithful, God is still faithful; “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 2 Tim 2:13-14. He is faithful to forgive, 1 Jh 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God is faithful in giving us victory over temptation, 1 Cor. 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Friends, in the darkest hour God will be there for you, He is light and He will shine is light on any dark path.
