“And He said, My presence shall go with you and I will give you rest.”
Exodus 33:14
Someone said “Purpose is one thing, but Presence is quite another”. In Ex. 33:14 we find a man who understood the importance and need of the “Presence of God” He understood it so much that he would not move without the presence of God. Moses said “If Your presence does not go with us do not send us up from this place. How will anyone know that You are pleased with your people unless You go with us. What else will distinguish Your people from all the other people.”
I have determined that my goal is to draw closer to God than ever before in my life and obviously that is going to take a lot on my part, I need to reexamine those things that easily draw me away from having a deep fellowship with Him, my life, career, friends even family but this is my goal and it is attainable.
If you are going to be effective for God you have to have His presence. If you are going to grow in God you have to have His presence and if you are going to be witness for God you have to have His presence. To walk in the presence of God is to know God is to know God in a vitally important way.
The presence of God will affect every area of your life if you allow it to but it takes more than just allowance it takes determination, desire, diligence, commitment and passion. There are people who know the Bible as they say, they even know the purpose of God but they do not know His presence.
When you have His presence, His purpose will follow in place more powerfully than ever. The presence of God will show others and you that God is pleased with you and the presence of God will also distinguish you and make you to stand out from the world around you.
Desire and long for His presence to day in your life and it shall be well with you.
