The world in which we live does provide us with moments of laughter and joy. There are also times of sadness and grief. Is God worthy of our praise or not? Has He done anything for you to celebrate? God certainly is a God to be praised. He’s worthy of our praise and adoration everyday and everywhere, good and ugly situation.
The death of a husband, father and close friend can leave one desolate and empty if you have no hope beyond this earthly life. When you know and accept the promises of Jesus you can see beyond this moment of loss to a bright and glorious future for all who die with faith in Jesus.
Much of life is like that; joys and sorrows intermingle making reminders of God’s glory so vital. We need those glimpses of a promising praise filled future in our Saviour’s presence. In the sadness of life, we need the anticipation of joy the joy that comes from singing of God’s love and enjoying His presence forever.
The psalmist gives us some reasons we ought to have a new song in our hearts each day. Our text says He has done marvelous things, great and mighty things, difficult and hard things, wonderful and miraculous things.
Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, trust in God, trust also in me. Those who know Christ now will sing His praises forever
