“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
When we look in the mirror, God doesn’t want us to see what we see with our natural eyes because what we see in the natural is the drama of life, the strife around the world, the day to day going on around us. In the natural you may be sick, weak, broke and depressed, yet God wants you to see yourself the way He sees you healed, strong, blessed and whole because Christ is in you.
When you look at yourself, because of the relationship that you have with His Son God wants you to behold as in a mirror the glory of His Son who is in you by His Spirit. As you do this, His Word says that you are being transformed from glory to glory; from poor to rich, sick to healed, from losing to winning.
As you reflect the image of Jesus Christ you in return are showing Him living through you. There isn’t a clearer picture of Christ than you! Our faces are not veiled; therefore, the world should see the gospel of Christ reflecting through us from one degree of glory to another.
The world will never understand that as you are beholding the glory of the Lord, He is the successful one in you, and you are being transformed from a failure to a success, in the process. It’s not going to get accomplished by any effort of yours to get ahead in life, but by the Spirit of the Lord.
By gazing at our Lord Jesus in the pages of the Scripture and by yielding to the Holy Spirit we become different people. We will want to become more like Him and our highest desire will be to please Him.
