“The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.” Psalm 126:3
Each and every one of us should meditate daily upon the marvelous works of the Lord God Almighty and especially for what He has done for us; He has brought us from a mighty long way. The Message Bible (MSG) interprets our text for today, in this way: “God was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.”
The Lord God Almighty gives life, all life is from Him and He alone is able and has the power to give and take life. He is the source of life; we live and have our being in Him and He said in John 10:10b that He has come to give us life in abundant.
He is the One that sustains us; He does not hurl life upon us; and, then, go away to leave us alone. He remains with us to encourage us, sustain us and support us. He has promised not to ever leave us or forsake us.
The Lord God Almighty saves the soul through the death of Jesus Christ, His Son on the old rugged Cross at Calvary, He has provided the way of Eternal Life for each and every soul that will accept His free gift of Salvation. It is by His Grace and Mercy alone through faith in that we may come to possess Everlasting Life, no other gift can compare with this gift and no other blessing is greater than this blessing. The only thing that one can do with a gift is to receive it, surely our God has done great things for us.
He has called and chosen us to be co-worker with Him, it is one of the greatest joys of the Chris- tian true believer to be permitted by the Lord to be a co-labourer with Him. He calls us to His side and consecrates us to work with Him in proclaiming the Gospel, in promoting His Kingdom and in pointing people to his Life-giving Way.
The Lord has done great things for us and He is still in the business of doing great things for us, He will do even greater things for us in the future; if, we will faithfully love and follow Him all the days of our lives.
